People often come into therapy when they are in pain, sad, anxious, lonely, feel badly about themselves or feel isolated.  Alternatively, they may feel flat, like they are "going through the motions" of life, without feeling alive.

At times they may feel stuck in repetitive patterns that underly their relationship difficulties, as well as other sources of pain.  These patterns may occur automatically, often beyond their awareness.

They want to feel hopeful that they can engage in a process that will bring about change.

The Therapy Process

A central and vital consideration is working with you to establish a connection that will feel safe, non-judgmental, and secure, to allow for exploration of your needs, feelings, and hopes.

Sometimes your challenges are "everyday" issues.  Sometimes they are traumatic.

I would like to help you with your challenges and the difficult feelings you may face.

I will aim to explore them with you and understand your unique needs.

I will work together with you to find ways to be connected to your feelings, manage painful feelings, form healthy and satisfying attachment patterns with others, and promote personal growth.

I view each patient as unique, with your own personal experiences of yourself and your world, so that our therapy experience will be catered to your unique, individual needs.
